Hi I'm Christina, originally from the USA but happily settled in beautiful New Zealand for the past 18 years, with my Kiwi husband and four adult children. When I'm not tutoring, you'll often find me outdoors, boating with my family, enjoying strolls on the beach, or instructing Zumba classes.
My journey into teaching English started with my own experience learning German during a student exchange program, sparking my passion for creating supportive and welcoming learning environments for others.
With a degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin (USA) and a CELTA certification, I've tutored English to children, worked in the English and International Student department of schools, and taught English to adults in
language centres. This range of experience has refined my skills and ability to customise English lessons for learners of all ages and proficiency levels, with differing needs and learning styles.
I get the greatest satisfaction from seeing my students' growth in confidence, particularly when it comes to navigating English conversation and pronunciation. Effective communication opens doors to endless opportunities, and I'm committed to empowering my students every step of the way.
